Thanksgiving was fun. Wiley flooded the toilet. It actually scared him and he cried when the toilet overflowed. Archer refused to allow Pop to touch him, look at him, or be in the same room with him, let alone hold him. We ate, played a lot with baby Bobby, and rode bikes.
I was thinking about this the other day. Archer seems to get so angry and frustrated in ways Wiley never did. Some of it may just be tempramental, but I think some of it is that he has to watch Wiley do stuff all day and he isn't able to do it himself. He will try, though. He loved being pushed around on a tricycle, loves going up and down stairs, drawing with pens or pencils, and climbing on stools or cushions and trying to reach things out of his reach. Mostly, he loves trying to do what Wiley does; Wiley loves to jump on the couch and land on his butt as hard as he can, he also loves to 'body slam' --jump in the air and land on his butt while sitting on you as hard as he can. Archer loves to try this as well. He also tries to climb out of the bathtub--one of his favorite things. He love his bath, gets so excited, jumps up and down. Archer crawls up to the wood stoves points his hand toward it as if he were going to touch it then yells "ot" then shakes his head no. His favorite game seems to be telling me no, are you ready to get out of the bath? (shakes head no) are you done with your lunch? (shakes head no)
Archer had his first birthday! He had two parties, one at grammy's post Thanksgiving and one here with Amelia, Andy, Olive, and our family. He got some shoes and pop beads from grammy. A singing mirror from Bobby and Sarah, $50 from grandma Oklahoma, Little People Amusement park from me and Wiley, a pincushion hand print thing from York, and a car and book (Little Blue Truck) from Olive. He got to eat cake, and loves it. He's a big boy, now.
