vacay

well, we went to the beach with amelia and andy and olive for the weekend. Friday night archer woke up around 1am and was inconsolable, never been like that before. so between 1-4am, York and I took turns trying to console him/get him back to sleep. I sat outside with him for a long time, as did york, until it started to rain....he woke up the next morning a little warm. He was tired and York stayed with him while I took Wiley to the beach. It wasn't the greatest weather, maybe 75 degrees, though the water was warm. Wiley had a good time, until he got really cold, (blueish lips and shivering cold) so we left. He warmed up and so we stopped by the pool, also warm water, but it was windy and the air was "cold" in comparison so wiley got blue and shivering again so we left. Back at the hotel, Archer had gotten worse and worse as the day went on. Eventually he was burning hot and so listless and lethargic we barely recognized him. so we took him to urgent care. Wiley stayed with amelia and co. and went on a hike. At urgent care, we learned he had an ear infection. I was so happy that it was an ear infection; because, of course, i was dreading something kidney or flu related. We got some drops and antibiotics and by that night he was much better, talking and happy again. That night, overly tired, Wiley cried for about an hour before going to bed and I played boggle with andy and ameila and drank wine (best vacation ever!). Sunday morning we woke up and went to the aquarium; the boys loved it. It was rainy and still not great weather, until of course, we were driving out of town when the sun came out and it got hot. Oh well, it is almost October after all. There was a wishing well at the aquarium and York gave Wiley some pennies. 1st wish was for candy. 2nd wish was for fish. 3rd wish was for 'flowers for my mommy.'
