hair cut
so, Wiley's hair is long and thick and must be hot. I was looking at photos of him from last summer, long enough after the shaved head disaster so his hair was a nice length, and asked him if he would like to get his hair cut, he said ok. So, I got out the clippers with the right attachment this time and made one pass on his head, in the front above his left eye to the top of his head and then he freaked out. He yelled nooooooo and started to cry and ran to the mirror and cried and cried about how he hated it and how he didn't want to have his hair cut. He sobbed. He ran to his bed, flopped on his bed, and cried, burying his face in his pillow. Like a teenager. So, I didn't cut his hair anymore. He was so bummed. He said he didn't want to go to school. He didn't want York to see him because he didn't want his dad to make fun of him. He insisted on wearing a hat all day. He now doesn't seem to mind it so much, but this means he has a really modern hair cut and won't let me or anyone else cut it to fix it.

did you show him how cute he looked with shorter hair? did you tell him daddy has short hair, his friends have short hair, pop has short hair, he looks good with short hair? and daddy won't make fun of him?
he likes it long, and it's just hair; not a battle I'm willing to fight right now.
You're the boss though! Don't forget that!
Maybe he'll forget he doesn't like it tomorrow. Otherwise, Uncle Rick will bring his clippers and come fix it :)
exactly, it's just hair so why won't he let it be trimmed since it will grow back
