we're struggling a little with wiley's behavior again/still. mostly we're worried about him feeling left out or jealous. he's gone back to wanting cuddle boobie time. he says things like, 'can we all cooperate and share archer.' or, 'sometimes i cry when you leave me' and insists on going with us even if we're just running upstairs/downstairs to get something. or out of nowhere he'll just say, 'i'm sorry for....' something he may have been corrected for or something he doesn't even have to say sorry for. he's just thinking all the time and i worry sometimes the thinking might take him to sad places. and he just looks sad sometimes. i spend as much one on one time with him as possible whenever archer's asleep, but i think sometimes i will have to choose time with wiley even when archer is awake. we'll see if that helps.
i took him out of story time today at the library. we entered, he hit a kid. we talked about it. we went to sit down and he body slammed a kid--the kid's caretaker yelled at wiley- 'no, no, no!'. i walked wiley over to apologize (the caretaker, grandma i think, says, 'tell him you'll accept his apology this one time...I was pissed, what is that?!). i talk to wiley again about his behavior. he body slams again. he starts spitting on kids. we left.

"i am sorry" when not necessary sounds like he is just looking for attention and the reassurance that comes when you give him one of your long 'its ok, you didnt do anything wrong, youre a good boy...' spiels...
i wouldnt buy into it.
but what do i know, i have a dog.

(disclaimer - easy for me to say, i only have one kid) he's testing you and his boundaries. discipline him for being naughty and move on. i don't even remember having siblings when i was this young and i turned out ok. i wish i could blame all the naughty things i did when i was little on having sisters - that would have saved me a lot of spankings (not condoning spanking) oh, and stop reading - you know too much!
